Nooby Leap

NOOBY_LEAP.dm_68
NoobyLeap.jpg youtube.png Hold down sprint and forward, then jump when you reach the edge. You should be able to clear the gap very easily if you are sprinting. Don't be confused - even if you have the "always run" setting on (which is by default), you will not be sprinting when you just press forward. The default sprint key is 'e'. By default, forward is 'w'. So, to be sprinting at full speed, you should be holding down both 'w' and 'e' (if you have the default key layout).

Nooby Ramp

NOOBY_RAMP.dm_68
NoobyRamp.jpg youtube.png Slide in an arc to gain enough speed to make it up the ramp. Avoid hitting the thin brown wood strips on the sides while sliding, because it will slow you down a lot. You should be sprinting the entire time you slide (it's not enough to just be running).

Nooby IcyJump

NOOBY_ICYJUMP.dm_68
NoobyIcyjump.jpg youtube.png Make arcs while sliding to gain speed. Do this by facing sideways, all the while sprinting (not just running). You should have full stamina at the beginning, and make sure to drop your kevlar vest. Wearing a kevlar vest will deplete your stamina twice as quickly when you sprint or jump. By default, the key to drop an item is '='. You should therefore press '=' until you see that your kevlar vest has been dropped. Change your weapon/item loadout so that you don't spawn with kevlar next time if you plan to continue doing jump maps.

Nooby Drop-In

NOOBY_DROPIN.dm_68
NoobyDropin.jpg youtube.png The only trick to this jump is to land close to the top of the ramp. Try to avoid hitting the far wall (on the right after you land). You can slide in an arc after you land to gain extra speed; do so by facing sideways as shown in the demo, and don't forget to sprint the whole time. Making the Nooby Leet ledge is quite easy; you should practice until you can get it.

Nooby Climb

NOOBY_CLIMB.dm_68
NoobyClimb.jpg youtube.png This teaches you how to do a ladder climb. The only key being pushed here should be forward. No jumping, no crouching (although you should make one jump initially to grab the first rung). Grab one rung, pull up slightly, then let go of forward to fall back down. Immediately after letting go, press forward again to grab hold of the next rung. A good strategy for beginners is to climb two rungs at a time, then drop down a rung, climb two more, etc. If you keep pressing forward as you are pulling up on a rung you will fall all the way down. If you are falling down often, you should probably be letting go of the rung sooner. There is a little secret at the top of the climb, see if you can find it. :-)
